NetWatch C2

Distributed Telemetry System

NetWatch is a real-time network latency dashboard. A Python telemetry service streams high-frequency measurements over gRPC (HTTP/2), and a .NET 8 WPF client shows them live.

What he built

  • Streaming over gRPC with Protobuf, with clean cancellation of the background streams on exit or reset.
  • UI updates capped at 20 frames per second so the dashboard stays smooth without saturating the CPU, and a 30-point sliding window per target to bound memory.
  • Live minimum, maximum and rolling-average latency per target, a console-style event log, and an endpoint that can be changed and reconnected from the dashboard.
  • Stable per-target colors through FNV-1a hashing, and an MVVM structure that keeps the XAML interface apart from testable C# logic.
